A brief overview of what we know about dark matter, some history of when the idea arose, and current experiments designed to detect or otherwise figure out what dark matter is.
This talk was presented in Second Life in February, 2012.

    Both are available above. You have to have Flash to see the slides in the browser window. If you don’t have Flash, you can view the PDF of the slides instead.

    Javascript has to be enabled for the streaming audio; otherwise, you can download the audio file and listen via whatever player your system has for MP# playback.

    I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you all do to make this website possible.
    I took an astronomy class when I went back to college after a long hiatus; for reasons I really never understood, the instructor was vehemently opposed to the Hubble ‘scope. (I took an incomplete in the class…)
