In addition to the astronomy and physics courses housed on Asterisk, Asterisk now hosts weekly seminars.
Our first seminar series started on April 22, 2012; most of the seminars in this series are from the Meta Institute for Computational Astrophysics (MICA), a professional and educational organization which uses virtual worlds to host its activities. These seminars were held originally in Second Life (SL); they were audio recorded and the slides made available on the MICA website and now on Asterisk, too.
The series also includes a seminar on the June 2012 transit of Venus.
