I took a picture of an almost identical sky with rays on the morning of 17 Aug 05 from my location at Ridgecrest, CA. I am wondering if perhaps the Kanab shot is also on the 17th, and mis-marked the 7th of Aug? Cloud type and aparent cloud height are strikingly near identical. I'd be glad to send anyone interested a copy in modest-sized .jpg format, who'd like to see it. I assume this forum is not place to post an image. I'd also be interested to know about other sightings and pictures on either of those mornings. hh

The rays in the photo reflect the purpose of the rays on the Arizona state flag.
