I can't help but think this is the sun, just a 'few' thousand degrees cooler. Not quite. Jupiter is one tenth the diameter of the Sun and about one thousandths less massive. I would agree with the window hypothesis except that the sun appears behind the clouds and the cloud pattern is different than it appears in the primary image of the sun. The window examples and "behind the cloud" examples given so far don't seem to have that difference. So, I'm leaning to...
