What is the object located down the slope from the goat, about halfway between the goat and the village light? Resembles a Bat wing.

I sent an email to ABC requesting the image from the football game. I suggested they ask Dandy Don and Frank Gifford about the incident. I'm sure they will jump right on this.

Way to go! I frequently flip the images. I guess it made for a more exciting photo when viewed up-side down.planetquinn wrote:If you flip the image 180 degrees it is easier to grasp. The streams then appear to be flowing down instead of up.

Cassini imags of Lapetus.
The Cassini images of Lapetus are very interesting.
They would be even more interesting if they did not need to be flipped vertically so you can see the craters properly.
Is this some type of copyright problem that NASA has?

A picture for consideration.
Gentlemen, I purloined this picture from Space.com on October 27, 2003. Note that it looks like a carved pumpkin. I thought it was nice for God to put out this image as Halloween approached. You might consider posting it as POD. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd142/13_Rabbit/Halloween.jpg

APOD 2007 August 23 Southern Moonscape Shadows
I sucked the image into Photo-Editor and rotated it 180 degrees.
This puts the shadows where my eye can see the depth of the craters.
I see one of my favorite six sided craters.

Jupiter's South Pole.
After looking for an hour, I found this image:
http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/figure ... 4_fig1.jpg
Do not see a hexagon.
Is that circular thing in the middle of the image part of the camera, a filter, or what? its blocking the good stuff.

What "in the world" would cause this?
I've seen hexagon shaped craters on other bodies also.

...what has been done to the photo to make it difficult to interpret?...
I copied the image into Paint and rotated it 180 degrees. Then the ridges were very visible.
