Re: APOD: NGC 4755: A Jewel Box of Stars (2010 Aug 17)

Hello to all:
A few years ago, I had the chance to see it with a small telescope, from Acapulco, Mexico.
It is really a jewelry box.

Re: Astrophotographers/stargazers, submit Perseids images he

Hello to all: Now the weather is bad enough, it seems difficult that I can get a picture of Perseids. The night of August 12 last year, the moon is not allowed to see much activity, but at 4:00 am the chip of camera captured this. Among the branches of the tree of right side are the Pleiares, and up...

Usually I see it at 11:01 pm (local time in Mexico), so for me is almost always yesterday's APOD.

Then call it Ra, Aton or Tonatiuh.
Although Tonatiuh is closer for me and his is represented in Aztec calendar.

Re: APOD: Eclipse Shadow Cone Over Patagonia (2010 Aug 04)

Hi to all: The effect is surprising and very interesting, thanks to the explanation it is entirely logical, because it is near the horizon. The picture gives us a nice view of the environment and the event. I found a similar record in 2003. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap030106.html Regards Cesar

Hi Mark, Art: Where is Le Petit Prince by Antoine Saint-Exupery? On the other side, getting some tan. I'm not so sure. I think in the other side is a solar eclipse. 46610 Besixdouze is an asteroid belonging to the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The name was suggested by F. Hemery and ...

It seems to me that is a composite image, which does not take away any merit.
On the other hand is a picture of celestial phenomena and human circumstances.

Hi to all: When you see the full size image, consider that the photo was taken with a zoom lens (70-200mm) to 200mm focal length with a Canon 20Da. http://www.astrophoto.com.mx/upload/2010/05/14/pwg_high/20100514155743-1d5023f5.jpg I added one more, with the same lens and camera, but now to 70mm of ...
