I dont know enough about astronomy or space to know the answer to this. :( Ive always been amazed at the infinitesimal number of things in the heavens. How is it that we can look at 5 specks in the sky and know exactly what planet or what star they are? Thanks. :) We know what star is which because...

Ok, Ive always wondered when looking at pics like the one in todays email "Planets, Endeavour at Dawn" and other pics of the planets in the darkness. Why do they shine/glow or whatever you want to call it? I mean if it hadnt been pointed out for me I would have just thought they were stars...

The picture of the Red Spot on Jupiter is over 30 years old. Does Jupiter 1 and Jupiter still send pictures back to earth? If so, where can I see more recent pics? Thanks. :D
