Re: APOD: Star Trails above Table Mountain (2015 Jun 25)

How does one share the APOD? Like the icon they do on FB? I liked today's pic on Table Mountains, and since I am going to travel there on a holiday shortly wanted to share this pic directly with some friends who are coming along, although I have sent them this APOD link:-) Please do let me know. Re: APOD: Moonbow Beach (2014 Sep 06)

Would like to show you a photo of a sun-bow! All of us have seen rainbow, moon-bow, glory, etc. But a sun-bow? This photo was taken by my friend Saee Nair in Melbourne on a cold July 2014 morning. Interesting, is it not? I hope APOD will display this photo soon on the NASA APOD website. Thanks! Anur...

Re: Submissions: 2014 September

I would like to submit a photo of a sun-bow. We all have seen rainbow, moon-bow and glory, but a sun-bow? This photo (credit: Saee Nair) was taken in Melbourne in July 2014 on a cold winter morning when Saee went for a walk, it lasted only about 30 seconds or so. Kindly let me know if it is suitable...

How can I submit an interesting photo?

It is about a sun-bow - a rarely seen phenomenon, I think.

I have this photo taken in Melbourne in July 2014 morning. We all know about a rainbow, a moon-bow, glory, etc. Thought this would be interesting.

How can I attach a photo? Please advise.

Thanx, and regards.

I wish you had given a destination for the flight - otherwise it looks the same everywhere. Also may be given some names of 'stations' on the way to the destination.

Re: APOD: All the Water on Planet Earth (2012 May 15)

Is the water droplet drawn to scale wrt to the Earth's size? If only this much volume of water is there on the Earth (even if it saline) then its scary. I always thought 70% of Earth is water, but I understood from this APOD that 70% surface of area of Earth is water, and not volume. Is my understan...

Re: Introductions: How did you become interested in astronom

My father was an amateur astronomer and science enthusiast, and used to take me as a kid to numerous visits to the planetarium in Kolkata (Calcutta, India) and to the science museum, including telescope viewing of the moon, venus, saturn and jupiter. In addition during the summer nights we used to s...
