Great picture! Why would the central core of the galaxy be out of parallel with the main body of the galaxy?

If the outer layers are being ejected, why does it take on the shape of an hour glass? There must be other forces at work to allow the outer layers to be ejected not in a symmetrical shell formation but in an asymmetrical shape. "Star formations triggered by winds"? Errr you cannot have a wind in a vacuum! Less artistic licence and correct terminology!

Why do astronomers keep on insisting that comets are snowballs? Every space probe that has visited a comet has not found any snow, let alone quantities of water. Samples taken of comets tails show a different story. When has a ball composed supposedly of ice emit xrays? Yet comets do. State the fact...

With dark matter, I thought it was still a theory and still nota proven scientific fact. If in the APOD it is coloured blue, does this mean you can measure it? How do you measure a theory? A discrepancy perhaps?
