Antares with Polarie, 60Da and 50mm lens

This image is the product of 2h of exposure captured in two sessions using POLARIE. Here in Perth, Western Australia, the geographic and magnetic south differ only by approximately 1deg, so setting up the POLARIE is a piece of cake: a little bit more than 30deg (31.5) as the angle of elevation and a...

A minute before sunset and with rising full Moon

This is the western view of Perth’s CBD a minute before sunset (skyscrapers flooded by the last light from “red” Sun), with rising orange full Moon, and eastern sky also reddish. The redness of the eastern sky was disappearing with every second and the colour become dark-grey just a couple of minute...

Re: Submissions: 2013 May

Here is the Panorama of Perth on the autumn day, 25th of May 2013 …
The Sun was almost gone – still visible yellowish reflection on some of higher buildings, the Moon had just risen, but was disappearing behind a band of clouds.
Also nicely visible are 4 light towers of the Subiaco Oval.

This picture of the Sunset over Rottnest Island (25km distance) was taken from City Beach, Western Australia. The Sun is setting over approaching band of clouds (on the BOM radar 40km offshore). Recent, rising full Moon - Perth, Western Australia

A couple of days ago during full-moon I took some nice pictures of the rising Moon over Perth CBD. One looks specially great (see attached photo) as it shows the just rising Moon between the BankWest and BHP towers.
