bystander wrote: http://www.twanight.org/ladanyi works just fine (remove http//).

Also that's right.

Thanks!

Wrong link on APOD Dec 31 – “Analemma 2010”

There is a mistype on the link of Credit "Tamas Ladanyi":

The wrong target is: http://http//www.twanight.org/ladanyi

The right one is: http://www.twanight.org/newTWAN/photogr ... %20Ladanyi

Wrong link on APOD Dec 29 – “Eclipse at Moonset”

Just I case, despite APOD editors had been warned, take care about the link on geocentric.

There is a mistype: the wrong target is “ap0904171.html” and the right one is “ap090417.html”.

Tycho Brahe, murdering, and go to toilet

Was Tycho Brahe murdered? http://www.aolnews.com/2010/11/15/scientists-exhume-remains-to-learn-if-astronomer-was-murdered/ Brahe's death has long been attributed to a bladder infection contracted after his bladder ruptured during a royal banquet where politeness and convention kept him from leaving...

APOD Nov 19 - Nebulae in the Northern Cross

The link of “Northern Coal Sack” doesn’t have any target:

<a href="">Northern Coal Sack</a>

Possibly the right one might be APOD October 23, 2003, “Cygnus Nebulosities”.

Re: Links to “abstracts”

Statistics can't tell you the whole story and may in fact be misleading. I’m absolutely agreed with the first part of your statement. Furthermore: statistics never tells the whole story. Buy they only may be misleading if are taken as more than a trend; just a clue to begin understanding a phenomen...

Links to “abstracts”

Within the global trend in which the users don’t click the links, there is a special kind. I name it “abstracts”, despite these links are not abstracts in every instance. Some examples are: http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1972ApJ...178..623T http://adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/nph-bib_query?bibcode=1998...

Re: Official Facebook Group?

With some minor trouble and the valuable help from bystander, it’s running the Facebook page from Catalan APOD mirror.

Because it still doesn’t have URL, you can found it on Facebook searching “Imatge Astronòmica del Dia (APOD)”

Oct 18 - It Came from the Sun

The title reminds a classic sci-fi movie: "It Came from Outer Space" (1953).

If do you like it, could be funny to include a link on the explanation like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErFsW4-FDWw

Hello, There is still a problem with the new, and still beta, Spitzer Space Telescope web site (http://www.spitzer.caltech.edu/). Re: Official Facebook Group?

Hi,

From a year ago I have in mind a Facebook group of APOD Catalan mirror, but I have a couple of doubts/questions:

Is there any copyright problem, especially on non English APOD mirrors?

Is the word “official” suitable to an APOD mirror?

Thanks.

About meta-tag "keywords"

APOD uses the meta-tag “keywords”, as well some mirror sites, mainly those in English. Google itself claims that its searcher practically ignores the meta "keywords". Please, take a look to these videos from “Google Webmaster Help”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK7IPbnmvVU http://www.you...

I deleted my post because I realized that its content was copyrighted and, as bystander said, the image must be from APOD.

May bad.
