Nice shot of Panstarrs...great galaxies.

The weather finally got good and I was able to get out my Celestron Evolution 6.
Great to be viewing.

Wish I could see a comet.

Amazing that Saturn looks so smooth and undisturbed, yet Jupiter is a swirl of storms and activity... maybe Jupiter should have bigger rings???

To me it looks like two masses fell in towards the center, and kind of combined in the middle, creating the "bar"... these masses got kind of "fixed" at the ends of the central area, and have gravitationally merged. Probably wrong... A wider angle image, I think, shows disruption...

It is actually the other wavelengths we DON'T see...

Space is not empty... it is full of stuff... like Radiation and Emanation of various types of Energy. Many manifestations.

There are so many stars... it looks like Van Gogh painted with swirls... but with DOTS...
It "sweeps" around the sky, and amazing detail...

I was struck by my ability to recognize things... Bernard's Loop, and M42 and Orion, and to the right...Taurus, and the very noticeable M45. I wondered what they were...then zoomed in... great.
Especially notable are the red hydrogen areas.
