crater
I don't think this is an impact crater. Don't see any rayed features. I think we got a sink hole thing resulting from internal movemnt. Let's sit down, have a beer and a discussion. I buy the virtual beer

perhaps the winds go around the mountains and nothing moves when on top of the hill. It would be interesting to have measured wind velocity at that height

There was a one hour report on NASAtv about this with the last week where the actual scientists presented the data and answered questions. And " poof ", the picture appeared in APOD a couple days later. It appears APOD is sharing thru pictures the wonders of the universe and the purpose of...

If it wasn't for photographs, we'd have to learn descriptive english. I would like to see a photo of a real tyranosaurus. Or a jazzed up 1970's pickup.

The blast, that the crater size indicates, would have obliterated the body was just the size of Hyperion as we see it. I just think eons ago a much bigger body was hit and fragmented into smaller pieces, one of them being Hyperion bearing the scar of the collision, and fortunate for us , observers o...

physical location of " Big Bang "
so far all is described since t=0. At t=0 and before, all matter that permeates the universe we know today was compressed into a single point ( nothingness ??). Eventually I am going to ask about the current view that the Universe is still accellerating into the nothingness. I have and read the Hawk...

Do an experiment. Take an electric drill ( your black hole ) and chuck in a paint mixer ( your black hole motion ) and place it in a pail of water ( your galaxy in steady state ). Turn it on and watch ..........the rest of the story is up to you..

Origin of the "big bang" ??
Anyone know where in the sky, we know today, is the location of the original "big bang "? And when the " big bang " ocurred, all the material got expelled at once, like blowing up a balloon , and because of different velocities, we have a 3D universe ?
