HiRise picture, difficult to interpet

Post by JohnD » Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:29 pm

This picture from HiRise: http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/PSP_007962_2635 Is very difficult to interpret.
The streaks look as if they rise above the surrounding land, like lines of spikey bushes, rather than lines of dark and falling down the sid eof a dune.

Just so, art.
Thank you.

Not that I think they are willows by a water dyke.

I had the thought of stands of trees as well, then the eerie thought of the Odd Trees in the distance from the movie Pitch Black came to mind since they appear at different angles in the image
