Do the dishes, men, and be happier!

Do the dishes, men, and be happier!

Guess what's the secret of life, the road to happiness? It's doing the dishes! At least if you were born with Y chromosomes!

Check out this page! Here are a few quotes from it:

A study of men across seven countries found that those who shouldered a bigger share of domestic responsibilities had a better sense of wellbeing and enjoyed a better work-life balance.

Sociologists used data from the regular European Social Survey which compares the lifestyles of people across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Britain.

All of the participants are asked standard questions used to measure their happiness or wellbeing such as whether they feel “fulfilled” in life and whether they wake up feeling refreshed.

The researchers expected to find that where men shouldered more of the burden, women’s happiness levels were higher.

In fact they found that it was the men who were happier while their wives and girlfriends appeared to be largely unmoved.

Those men who did more housework generally reported less work-life conflict and were scored slightly higher for wellbeing overall.
:D

So, men, if you wonder why you should do part of the housework at home, don't do it for the sake of your better halves. Do it for yourselves! :D

They should have asked some americans. I'm the only one in my place, so i have to do everything. All i have, is a sense of tired :!: So i give sociologists a BIG fat :P :!: I'd give them more, but I'm too tired from doing all that 'well-being' stuff'.

Although the dish is in reality fully functional, visually it appears old and ragged. CIS Hollywood performed some digital magic on the dish, replacing the rotting bowl with a digital matte painting of a crisp, clean dish (image 2), and performed extensive rotoscoping and color correction to make the shot come alive with color.>>

I'm american ('merica!) and I do our dishes every morning before work. I have always thought this was one of many things that keeps me level and serene. I'm glad that it's not just me. I am a very happy person overall.

I do the dishes! I very carefully place them in the dishwasher, then later I remove them. What happens in between is what makes me happy.
