Take *that*, Frankenstorm!!!

I'm probably about to unveil some techno-ignorance here, but...

How do they "mirror" a site that's down?

The APOD editors are using the Pony Express to deliver documents around the US. I have no idea how they are reaching the international mirrors.

Just kidding. Email.
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

Email and the web; APOD can be delivered by an Asterisk server if the main site is down. Today's APOD is here, for example.

Thanks. I suppose that all should have been obvious. OK...maybe not the Pony Express part.

Have a couple friends out in the DC area (Haymarket and Warrenton). One has had some water come in through her ceiling, and the other has had some trees go down behind their yard.

Hope you're surviving well enough, Owlice.
