Hi APOD members and admins!
I enjoy collecting APOD images for use as desktop background or wall papers. I just had an idea that I felt would be helpful for those who are using the images similarly as I do. My idea/request is, could the admins who are creating the content append the date for the image at the end of the original image name? For today's image for example it could be named NGC55_HaLRGBpugh_APOD_21092018.jpg rather than simply NGC55_HaLRGpugh.jpg.
Let me know what you think and thank you all for your great work on APOD. You keep our days interesting.

Re: APOD Image File Name
Including the date is a good idea, but it would be better to put it at the beginning, and in yyyymmdd format. That would allow the files to naturally sort by date.dmiladinovich wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 6:10 pmHi APOD members and admins!

Thanks Chris. You're right. I've been renaming them myself that way.
