Tunç Tezel's image is positively magical. That man is a wizard at portraying the Earth vs. the Sky!

Alan Friedman's Sun image is also fascinating. Those black squigglies on the Sun remind me of some Blok globules that I have seen in one nebula or another.

Alan Friedman waved his magic wand a second time when he produced the Jupiter image. Kissing spots, indeed. The Great Red one is so much more visible now that the South Equatorial Belt has gone missing. I think I remember that Jupiter looked something like this way back when Pioneer flew past it and snapped the first ever Jupiter portrait that was close up and personal. That must have been in the very early seventies. Io completes this "forty years later" image very nicely!

It's a bit strange, but a space picture is just a space picture, unless it has a meteor streak in it. THEN it's a SPACE PICTURE!! :D

Hmmm, I really like the fogbow. I also like how this image really brings out that the fogbow is seen on the opposite side of the sky from the light source, just like a rainbow. And the light source in this case is the Moon.
