On this session Saturns Serpent Storm main body and its trailing tail ends (N/S) seems to have meet finally encircling the northern region of the planet. The moons Dione and Tethys are shown also at the left of the rings.

The crazy meteor on the star road
http://www.lucperrot.fr
Copyright: Luc Perrot This crazy meteor is nothing else than a runner, appears from nowhere in the middle of the night while I realized a startrail on the volcano road.
I had imagined several solutions to light the road but this anonymous runner with his headlamp gave me the best result.

A tradition that is widespread in Australia is that of the "Emu in the sky", a constellation that is defined by dark nebulas that are visible against the milky way background, rather than by stars. The Emu's head is the very dark Coalsack nebula, next to the Southern Cross; the body and legs are other dark clouds trailing out along the Milky Way to Scorpius.

Owl note: I now have "Riders on the Storm" playing on the radio in my head, but with "Emu in the Sky" as the opening lyrics...

Winter Sky above Toros Mountains
http://www.twanight.org
Copyright: Tunç Tezel Milky Way over Caybogazi Dam and Akdag Peak in Elmali, Antalya, Turkey. Caybogazi Dam in the foreground is located in Gombe near Elmali. The snow capped Akdag Peak is one of the highest places in Toros Mountains at 3017 meters high. The water in the reservoir is for irrigating the apple orchards and in fact Elmali means the home of apples.
