In the picture above, the sun has set, but still illuminates the Sierra de las Peñas Blancas, on leaving the Blue Moon, and the mountain of Cerro de la Culebra, on which stands the castle of Alange. The southern base of the hill was habited in 1700 BC, and in the East still use baths built by the Romans. They erected a fortress on top of strategic mound, which was then occupied by Visigoths, Arabs in the ninth century and Christians finally, in 1234, whose remains are those preserved. It was abandoned in the mid-sixteenth century.There is a fault between the rock formations of the Cerro de la Culebra.
En la imagen de arriba, el Sol ya se ha puesto, pero todavía ilumina la Sierra de las Peñas Blancas, sobre la que sale la Luna Azul, y el monte del Cerro de la Culebra, sobre el que se levanta el castillo de Alange. La base Sur del cerro ya estaba habitada en el 1700 ac, y en el lado Este aún se utilizan unas termas construidas por los romanos. Estos levantaron una fortaleza en la cima del estratégico montículo, que después fue ocupada por visigodos, árabes en el siglo IX y finalmente cristianos, en 1234, cuyos restos son los que se conservan. Fue abandonado a mediados del siglo XVI. Se observa una falla entre las formaciones rocosas del Cerro de la Culebra.
