Comet Siding Sprongs C/2013 A1 On November 7th, 05:43-48ut. A small tail is easily seen now, Now less then a year from now from its very close approach to Mars on October 19, 2014.

Comet Lovejoy (C/2013 R1) was photographed as it was exiting the beehive cluster in the constellation Cancer on the morning of November 9, 2013. A stack of eighteen 8 second exposures (ISO 1600 / Canon T2i / Cannon 100 mm f/2.0 lens at f/3.2) The individual exposures were stacked using ImagesPlus.

Comet ISON C/2012 S1 On November 13th, 09:41-51ut. Two dense tails at the trailing end (neg). Severe gradients (sun glare) and tree branchs at the mountain range playing havoc with my guider, Could be my last session until it wraps around the sun if all goes well.

Captured on November 14, 2013, 5:00am local time. This is an LRGB image taken with an SBIG STF-8300M. 4 minutes each channel (2x2min each) for a total exposure of 16min.

Fifteen 8 second exposures (ISO 1600 / Canon T2i with a 100 mm f/2.0 lens at f/2.8) were stacked of Comet Lovejoy (C/2013 R1) on November 14, 2013 using ImagesPlus. The comet has really increased in size and brightness since my last photograph of Lovejoy!

I believe that comet Lovejoy has just barely reached naked eye visibility. The morning that I photographed the comet, I was just able to make it out using averted vision. See: http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php ... &year=2013

Using the 4 comet image posted by sandgirl above, and drawing a set of converging lines from the dipper cup, I located what appeared to be a tiny greenish speck in the sky at 6am. Perhaps lovejoy is more than just visible now

GSO 8" f/4 Refractor + Canon EOS 350D camera (15×25 sec. at ISO 800)

Description:
November 20 was the last night to see the comet before dawn in its way to perihelion. At 5 magnitude, to the limit for see it at naked eye. Although not fit in the 1,5º field of image, it shows a long bluish gas tail, inside seems have a narrow
orange band caused by sodium emission that only occurs near the Sun.
