Tonight's Lunar Eclipse was an unforgettable experience for me! It was such a great sight to see.

Lunar Eclipse over Maryborough Railway Station, a grand station for a small regional Victorian town built during the gold rush days. As Mark Twain dryly observed on his visit in 1895: "A railway station with a town attached".

After snow showers ended, the clouds cleared out in Illinois just as the eclipse was starting. I was glad to be able to watch the entire eclipse from start to finish. It was the first total lunar eclipse I've seen in 6 years. These were shot at Banner Marsh State Wildlife Area.

Blood Moon Metamorphosis - Wide angle composite image from Full Moon to Total Eclipse including Mars taken over the Town of Frisco in Colorado. The scene spans roughly 3 to 3.5 hours.
