Clouds of two colors
This is a recent picture of mine taken on Maunakea, Hawaii.
This wide-field image of the Pleiades shows dust clouds of two distinct colors.
The blue clouds are all close to Pleiades. They reflect the light from the
blue, young stars in the cluster. There are also very diffused clouds all over
the image, and they are yellowish. They reflect the light from the large
number of older, less massive stars in the Milky Way.

Thank you for your lovely images of beautiful spiral galaxy NGC 1566, Michael! :D

Your picture of the supernova, ASASSN-14ha, (what a name!) is intriguing. Its non-blue color suggests that it is not a supernova type Ia, and its location right next to a dust lane and its probable proximity to massive stars suggests that it is a core-collapse supernova. Indeed that appears to be the case.
