Unidentified Object in SOHO's LASCO C3 Sequence

Post by Jgeraci » Wed Aug 10, 2005 9:14 pm

Review of today's (8/10/2005) mpeg of SOHO's LASCO C3 sequence revealed an object travelling from near lower-center to lower-right of the frame. The object also moves independent to the background star field, yet dosen't have a "tail". Anybody know what the object might be? It first shows up in the LASCO sequence on 8/2/2005: http://lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil/daily_mpg/050802_c3.mpg.

The archive of this mpeg sequence can be found at:http://lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil/daily_mpg/050809_c3.mpg, but will not be available on the archive until 8/11/2005. It can be found today at the "current" location: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/LAT ... ent_c3.mpg.
