Hello! I have a question. I'm going on a cross country trip with a friend (New Jersey to Oregon) and we're stopping at National Parks, but I want to make stargazing a priority of the trip also. We're taking the northern half to go across, so i was wondering between Jersey and Oregon on the northern half of the US, where you would recommend going for great view of the stars? I realize anything outside major cities or suburban sprawl is ideal, but I'm DYING to see some good stars. I've seen them overseas and it's been too long since my jaw has dropped from looking up at a night sky. Do you guys have a "list" of good stargazing places? thanks for any help.
