I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IT IS ONE OF THE INNER PLANETS. I'VE BEEN WATCHING THESE MPEGS FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW AND HAVE SEEN MERCURY AND VENUS CROSS BEHIND THE SUN SEVERAL TIMES. THEY ALWAYS ENTER FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE IMAGE AND CROSS BEHIND THE SUN TO THE LEFT SIDE IF THE IMAGE. THEY DO CROSS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT THOUGH WHEN THEY PASS IN FRONT OF THE SUN RELATIVE TO OUR VIEWING POSITION. THIS OBJECT THOUGH APPEARS TO GET FARTHER AWAY FROM SOHO'S VIEWPOINT AS IF IN A RETROGRADE ORBIT (OPPOSITE TO THE PLANETS) AND ITS MOTION IS FROM SLIGHTLY BELOW THE APPARENT ORBITAL PLAIN TO SLIGHTLY ABOVE IT. SO I DON'T THINK IT IS A PLANET. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT RIGHT NOW MERCURY IN THE EVENING SKY AND VENUS IS IN THE MORNING SKY, OUTSIDE THE VIEWING RANGE OF THE SOHO OBSERVATORY.

WELL, AFTER CAREFUL CALCULATION (AND WATCHING THE MPEG A FEW MORE TIMES) I AGREE THAT THE OBJECT IS IN FACT MERCURY MOVING TOWARDS THE SUN.

This idiot has never seen fit to use anything other than full caps because
they think they know the answer to everything. Check some other posts
and you will see.

I don't mean anything by it. I'm just suggesting the message is the same in ALL CAPS or not.

I personally don't like all caps, but that's me.

Perhaps NOT BOB might one day learn to apply what he should have been shown in kindergarten: how to get along with others, how to respect the way others express themselves (UPPER CASE TYPING). You do get the respect back that you show others.

I don't know if this is the same person that I went to school with, but the initials are the same as well as the manner of speach and method of typing (upper case). That BMA deserves more respect than you wish to offer and you haven't shown to be worthy of even this level of response

NOT BOB,

TAKE ANYTHING I HAVE WRITTEN (NOT IN JEST  ) AND PROVE IT TO BE WRONG, THEN YOU WILL HAVE EARNED THE RIGHT TO CALL ME AN IDIOT. IF YOU CANNOT DISPROVE ANYTHING, THEN LOOK NO FARTHER THAN YOUR OWN REFLECTION BEFORE CALLING NAMES.

HAVE A GREAT DAY
