Yep, you've created some new constellations of your own. Have you given them names and back stories yet? :ssmile:

Plesae see my post on the Quadruple Moon Haloes thread, that owlice has rapped me over the knuckles for!

Astrology is bunk, constellations are a convenient way of describing the night sky to locate something and while our ancestors saw meaningful shapes there, we know better. So why are there these apparent lines of stars, most of which will be parsecs apart in the third dimension? Are the lines real, an artefact of photography or of reproduction online?

It's just your brain doing something it does very well--picking out patterns. Here is some noise I generated using a filter in Photoshop. It's completely random but you can find lines and patterns in it too.

Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

At first glance this object has the texture of shag carpet. The density gradients are clearly the product of cosmic expansion in a dense medium. Advanced lifeforms are most likely to evolve along the most pronounced density gradients because that's where you would find the greatest variety of resources. According to the Drake equation there should be between 10^2 and 10^4 spacefaring civilizations in this volume of space.

Yes, our brains are fun toys! :lol2:
May all beings be happy, peaceful, and free.
