The finest Comet ISON scenic shot I’ve seen to date. It was taken by Juan Carlos Casado from up on a mountaintop on the island of Gran Canaria from the Observatorio del Teide (IAC) Nov. 21, 2013. Mercury is seen through clouds at lower left.

I think Astro Bob made a smallish translation error there. The photograph was taken from Observatorio del Teide (Tenerife), with the mountains of the neighboring island of Gran Canaria on the horizon towards the east.
(When I visited Tenerife in 2011, I got close to the Observatorio, but unfortunately it was restricted access.)
