Here is a gif of the recent encounter between Venus and M45.
30 pictures took with a FSQ106 and Canon 1100D baader.
Picture took between 21h41 and 00h06. In only 2h30 we can see the movement of Venus across the Pleiades. We can also see the change of the color of the sky as the night come as well as the change in color of Vénus as she is setting.

Always a stellar nucleus brighter than fragments, but less total magnitude. A fine developed tail and green coma too.

Gems of the night sky
Deep sky + landscape? Why not! This is a blend of 10 120" exposures of the the Rho ophiuchi Cloud complex and one 120" exposure for the landscape. Here is the trick - both photos taken at the same night, from the same place and tripod position - just with tracker off and camera moved slightly down due to aspect ratio blending and portrait orientation. Pay attention to a beautiful IC 4592 that fits into 135 mm focal length along with Rho and its dark nebulae.

Location: Pulčín, Czech Republic
Date and time: 16. 4. 2020 around 3AM

Camera: Canon EOS 6D Mark II
Lens: Rokinon 135 mm f/2.0

10x120" f/2.0 ISO 400 + 6 darks
Final image rescaled to 3000px longer side

Tom, that's an impressive and beautiful picture of the nebula caused by the ultraviolet flux and stellar wind of one of my favorite blue stars, Gamma Cassiopeiae.

Thank you! :D

The caged Seagull [Starlink]
Copyright: Paolo Demaria

At this particular moment, during the health emergency caused by Covid-19, unable to go to the mountains in order to photograph, I placed the setup on the balcony of the house to capture the Seagull nebula (IC 2177) with an Optolong l-eNhance 2" filter .
To complicate matters, the transit of a group of Starlink satellites has overlapped.

Hard times for astrophotographers!

Modified Canon EOS 6D on a Tecnosky 80 Apo Triplet reduced at f/4.8; Skywatcher Eq6Pro; 30x360s at 1600 ISO with an Optolong l-eNhance 2" filter.
Fusion of the stack file with the frame with Starlink satellites.

Best regards,

Paolo Demaria (Cn, Italy)

It was not until months after taking this frame at the Long Sault conservation area, outside Toronto, Canada, that I noticed it. Right at the edge of the picture. Maybe the stars are more distorted than I would prefer, or the noise could be lower. However, satisfaction cannot be measured by these quantities. It is about the quality of such Aha! moments that give life a purpose . Even if it was ignored for years or lasts a fraction of a second; like this meteor burning in the Earth’s atmosphere.

Great picture, Iaffaldano! :D

Could you tell me the designation of the bright blue star at upper right?

If not, can you tell me the coordinates of your picture? And is north up?
