The Milky Way imaged from the crystal clear night skies of the Atacama Desert, just outside of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile in July '14.
The dark lanes of the Prancing Horse were the object of my attention in this deep image of our own galaxy.
Also in the field of view are the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae, Globular Cluster M22, Open Cluster M23 and other clusters and stars.
Image capture:
Nikon D800 10 X 5 min unguided on a tracking mount, with dark subtraction applied.
Initially processed in CCD Stack, final processing in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC.

Catch a Rainbow
Crux
This was couple of weeks ago, in a cold winter morning at Ranchos Argentina, the morning raindrops fall and kept their form above this non-woven weed showing me how light is reflected and refracted to create rainbows.

Incredible image of my favourite planetary nebula! This is one of the few objects in the sky that is simply impossible to take a bad image of, every single one brings me joy! The outer halo is a very nice addition to your image and I like how you have processed to make the central part the dominant aspect. My only constructive criticism is that the halo could look a bit more red considering it is Ha. Also an interesting paper about the halo:

Hi guys!, This is a teamwork project. We went to Rodeo NM. for an astronomy trip from Montreal, Canada. So we did 4100 Km. car trip with 6 telescopes and astrophotographers. We had an idea to make one teamwork pictures to memorise our trip. . Every People took data from the helix nebulae during 9 unbelievable nights. So we are proud to send you this awesome picture. If you see a galaxy on the right corner we see only in Ha. Nothing's appeared on the LRGB. the guy with me on the project's are: Paul Paradis, Jacques Demers, Robert Saint-Jean, Patrice Amyot, Jean-francois Larouche and Sebastien St-Jean.
Time of exposure: 50 hours
object name: NGC 7293
