Hickson 44 (APOD 19 Mar 2007)

When I look at these groupings a couple of wonder if's come into my mind.

In a simplistic version of the big band I would expect the size of the cluster to be in some propotion to the red shift.

Does anyone know if there has been any red shift work done on this grouping to see if this holds true.

Allowing for chaos theory should we expect to see some red shift equivalence?

Has the centre of gravity of the group been indentified? if so is it simple a point in space and so the collection is simple a result of mutual gravitational attraction or is there something else to look at?

You may find out more if you search for "The Great Attractor", maybe in combination with "Hickson 44".

I'm not sure but I guess there must be some relationship.
