Thank you to both of you, any "behind-the-scenes" associates we may not get to hear about, and to everyone who supports this venture for the pleasure you bring to us each day. I hope that there has been some succession planning, both to ensure that the site is maintained and that new features continue.
Congratulations, and keep up the great work!

Dear APOD,
You guys are the best! I start every day with a look at your website. It is such a feast for the eyes and soul. It puts things into perspective for me. I often share the best photos with my friends.

Happy Birthday- APOD - at 15, I'd expect some adolescent surprises!

In fact, the digitized Vermeer today was indeed unexpected in the extreme. Very creative. I see from other comments that I'm not the only one by far who has APOD as homepage. Thanks for such a great way to start my online session each day!!

APOD has been my home page since about June 1996. The first thing I do on every new computer is set my homepage to APOD - Like you said, there is nothing like a little consistency in life.
Over the years when I have been working with others in my office I open my browser and the first thing everyone sees is APOD. Many times that day's image has sparked some kind of conversation - could be anything from "What the heck is that" all the way to "That picture is beautiful"
I hope to see APOD for many, many more years. You are an invaluable asset to the web community. Thank You.

happy birthday gentlemen, and thank you for bringing amazing images - and plenty of learning - to my desktop for many years. Those of us who spend our days in front of a screen have been uplifted by your work to bring to us images of beauty and power (and science!) from beyond our ken.
Thanks!

I've been following every day for around 12 years. #1 site on the web for me.
Helps me to not forget where we really live.

This is awesome! I love it! I counted all the little squares of the width and height. 10,560 images! Can you believe that??! That's insane! I wonder how they compose it all? Nice job APOD!

I have looked at the APOD every morning since... sometime in the last century. I changed it to my landing page when I suffered depression. (Much less depressing than the news)
I include the link in my email signature.
It is a simple, beautiful, easy education.
Thank you and all who submit.

Ouch!

I feel a headache coming on.
Unfortunately, the mosaic software doesn't tell me which of the APODs it actually used out of the 5,504 I gave it to choose from.
And a
Happy Birthday from me too. It has been a great privilege to supply the image used today.

Happy birthday. I concur with other readers enthusiastic endorsement of APOD and appreciate the (occasionally) whimsical editorial input.

Your page is permanently locked in my browser, and I enjoy it every day.
It seems to me, as has been noted, that today's image was made (or was commissioned) for the second aniversary, but it still is a great image you have posted.
Congratulations, and many more years of wonders, please.
