First the Sun isn't burning. It is glowing from the thermonuclear reaction in the center.
Secondly, the bottom beam spliter in your first diagram is positioned in the wrong direction which you corrected in the second diagram.
Nice discussion anyway.

All good English language dictionaries include nuclear fission and nuclear fusion in the definition of "burn". The word is not limited to chemical combustion. The Sun most definitely burns nuclear fuel and produces heat and light.

The direction of the beam split drawn at time 2:27 is 180 degrees of the anticipated direction - unless new physics are involved.
