Please find above an image I took in the morning of December 11, 2011 and showing the full Moon setting behind the Alps and the Sacra of San Michele. The construction of the abbey dates back to 10th century and this religious complex, sitting on the 1,000 meters high Mount Pirchiriano, few kilometers from Turin, is one of the most important monuments of Piedmont region and Italy.

Best regards

Stefano

M109 and a strange blue beam.
Officina Stellare RC360AS f/6 & ST10XE
This blue beam top left is not a satellite track. It is on all 108 single exposures on 2 different days.
Also a movement of the image area shows this beam on the same sky position.
Ideas about are welcome!
Greetings, Manfred

Hi Manfred,
Think about a geostationary satellite in you FOV. When your mount moves the satellite produce the same track on your images …

Velimir

Another shot from dark sky of Tivoli farm in Namibia.

The Dark Doodad molecular cloud, presented in details in this APOD,
could be seen here in wide field gliding over Musca constellation, surrounded by other objects,
including Ced 110 and Ced 111 in Chameleon, dark cloud seen at the bottom part of the shot.
