Good work, Freeland!!!

When you know where to look, you can just see the barest indication of the US flag patch .....

The one here is rated at 17,000 cubic femtoparsecs per microfortnight.

Might someone be able to capture the image, load it into Paint (or similar), and point out the locations of all of these flags?

I thought the most interesting part of the photo is that you see the astronaut's face. Usually the faceplate has some kind of reflection.

Ok, like most others I see 1 Japan and 4 Canada, although I think I see the sliver of the US flag on the astronaut's spacesuit, and possibly another US flag. Here's a link to an image, with the 2 potential US flags circled: ISS_pic_flags.jpg (69 KB)

This is not the full image, only selections with the 7 flags, so it may not spoil it for you (but it might).

The five that you guys have all spotted plus a very small slice of the Stars and Stripes on the astronauts arm - take another look.

To those who found 7, are these they (SPOILER): busyastronaut_sts135_4256_flags_circled.jpg (241KB)? This is the full image (shrunk) with the flag locations circled. My previous post shows these circled flags in close-up.

If we are counting emblems and organization affiliations as well there is also an ESA logo just the the left of the RRM box.
