Spirit rover pictures an object in the Martian sky.

Post by Rafael » Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:06 pm

Hello everybody.
I'm new into Starship Asterix. The reason why I'm posting this message is because I was watching some of the pictures of the Martian rover Spirit sol 1793.
And something there caught my eye. It seems to be an object crossing the sky over the horizon. And the rover just did what it is suppose to do
take a picture and send it home. Now the question is, what is this flying object ? It could be anything, literally.
Any scientific and rational ideas are always welcome.

It might have something to do with a TIFF or FITS involving Tiger Woods & Elin Nordegren.

day 1793 was about when I found the SOL system in Spore, it could have been my ship exploring MARS on that day :D

It is likely just a data error though I still wouldn't rule out a Spore Ship

Picture a Martian sitting on top of Spirit, lounging about, up to no good -- and it's just lit a cigarette. That's the match being tossed away. (Cigs burn very slowly in the Martian atmosphere; the match has already gone out.)
