[+] Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

Oh, how I wish I could check off [+] Justin Beiber Concert, though I'm sure I've never heard a note he warbled :lol2:
I love you APOD team, thanks for the Monday chuckle.

A friend at work showed APOD to me long, long ago looking at a galaxy far, far away. Ever since, I have shown other friends at work APOD. Sort of a 'Johnny Astronomy seed...'

I heard about APOD before Google or Facebook existed, before most teachers knew what the web was, before mobile phone apps or blogs existed, when Justin Bieber wasn't yet potty trained. It was way back in the beginning, 1995 or so, and I don't remember exactly how, but I'm guessing via the NCSA What's New page or something of the sort. It was much easier to keep track of cool new sites back then!

Thanks for the ride!

I found APOD In 1998 while searching on Alta Vista (or one of the old search engines) for something - who knows what. Have been visiting daily ever since! It's the first website I go to every morning - the only way to start the day.

Before Google won the search engine wars, APOD was one of the foremost links on a search engine I've now forgotten the name of.

I first discovered APOD through the presence of its link on Refdesk.com. This was several years ago. Refdesk remains my Home page, and opening APOD is the first thing I do on the Web every day.

Like many others, it was a long time ago, sometime in the late 90's, and have been looking at it ever since.

It was so long ago that it was BG -- before Google. It was either using AOL's or Netscape's search engine, or possibly a link someone posted either to the old AOL Astronomy Club or in a posting to one of the amateur astronomy e-lists I belong(ed) to. I remember the daily pictures were a lot smaller back then. So were monitor screens (640 x 480).

The friend who first forwarded me the link to APOD passed away three years ago. I visit the site almost daily, so in a way his memory lives on.

I found APOD in March 1999 through a friend who sent me a link to a picture that fascinated & awed me. Since then APOD has been my home page. I never start a workday day without taking a look at that morning's picture. Thanks for all the years of wonderful images and a great start to my days.
