I'd like to submit the artist's rendition for the discovery of a circumbinary planet (dubbed "PH1") in a four-star system by Planet Hunters. Planet Hunters is a citizen science project enlisting the general public to inspect the publicly released Kepler dataset for extrasolar planets. PH1 is the first confirmed planet for the Planet Hunters project and is the first planet to be found in a four-star system. The planet was discovered by Planet Hunters' volunteers Robert Gagliano and Kian Jek and followed-up and confirmed by a Yale-led team of astronomers.

La luna del cazador también conocida como luna sanguinea es la primera luna llena después de la luna de la cosecha, que es la luna llena más cercana al equinoccio otoñal. La
Luna del Cazador se llama así porque la luz de la luna es ideal para que los cazadores puedan tirar a las aves migratorias en el norte de Europa. El nombre también se dice que ha sido utilizado por los nativos americanos ya que los rastreadores podian seguir y matar a sus presas a la luz de la luna para conseguir alimentos en otoño y almacenarlos para el invierno. La Luna del Cazador y la Luna de las Cosechas no son más brillantes, más grandes o más amarillas que durante otras épocas del año, pero todas las lunas llenas tienen sus propias características especiales, basándose principalmente en su posición en la eclíptica en el cielo en la época del año que son visibles. Las lunas llenas de septiembre, octubre y noviembre, como se ve desde el hemisferio norte-que se corresponden con la luna llena de marzo, abril y mayo, según se ve desde el hemisferio sur, son bien conocidos en el folklore del cielo.

The sun had some great filaments yesterday. They went over more than 1/4th of the sun and continued over the edge as can be seen in this image.

The yellow Hunters Moon setting over the Alps kissed by the first light of the day was a stunning spectacle! The mountain visible in the picture is Rochemelon (11,608 ft or 3,538 m), in the Italian Graian Alps.

Technical details: Turin, October 30, 2012, 7.08 a.m. – Canon Eos 5D MkII – focal lenght: 373 mm – exp: 1/40 sec – aperture: f/8 – ISO: 100.
