New image of Mt Sharp (retooled from day 45 images)

The latest image posted to this Curosity Web page indicates that Mt Sharp is over 3 miles from the crater floor to the peak (more than 15840') I wonder if the visible peak in this image is the tallest point. As a matter of perspective it doesn't seem as tall as thie mountain in California.

Mt Shasts is 14162' above MSL (mean sea level) but with a ground elevation of 1062' at Lake Shasta it only rises 13100' above the surrounding plane. So Mt sharp is taller than Mt Shasta by over 2740' (100' more than 1/2 mile taller) I know that it is almost directly at the equator but I wonder if Mt Sharp will receive a seasonal dusting of Dry Ice frost?
