A pinhole solargraph was taken using a Red Bull can and a 0.4 mm pinhole. Ilford MGIV photographic paper was used for the roughly six month exposure. The solargraph was taken from January 1, 2013 to June 21, 2013. The rising and setting sun can be seen arcing across the southern horizon; climbing gently higher each day.

A solargraph is a picture with an extreme long exposure time made by a home made pinhole camera. But... this long?

This picture is a half year exposure between the Winter and the Summer solstice. The dinosaur in the picture isn't a real Giganotosaurus, but a life size model which is part of the collection of Oertijdmuseum De Groene Poort in the Netherlands. The pinhole camera which made this picture was made from a soda can with a small pinhole, a sheet of photographic paper and some duct tape. Because half year solargraphs show the complete path of the Sun across the sky they are a great tool to explain the seasons during astrophysics outreach.

More of my 2013 solargraphs can be viewed on http://xyzon.nl/solargraphy/

Hi,

Today we watched a magnificent Moorise from Thessaloniki Greece which came with Moon's Perigee. It was a beautiful scenery viewed by many people in our city.

We didn't expect to see anything cause clouds started forming in the horizon but we were lucky enough to have a clear patch on the sky and enjoy such an amazing view!

The image was made with a Takahashi FS60C and a Canon 5D.

Hi, Here in Portugal we could not see the Full Moon 21 minutes after perigee at our antipodes, so we could either see it the night before or after its "biggest size". Here are two views from before and after "Super Moon"!

The Moon is almost falling..

This moon was standing on the pole, but fell as you see below:

Super Moon´s Green Flash Today while photographing the Super Moon, I was able to see and capture a beautiful green flash, the green was dancing over the moon´s edge, please find attached two pictures of it.

Location: La Plata Argentina

These are the technical specifications.

I used a 4.5 Hokenn reflector telescope and a 20mm eyepiece.
My camera is a nikon d5100 I manually aim into the eyepiece without a camera lens.

Yesterday's view from Sounion, Greece. The visitors of the ancient Greek temple of Poseidon watch the perigee full moon rising, but i was photographing the scene from 2km (1,2 miles) at their back.
