Copyright: Stefano De Rosa Please find attached the image showing the Full Moon rising over the Volterraio Castle, the most ancient fortification on the Island of Elba, Italy. August 20-21 Full Moon is a “seasonal Blue Moon” being the third of four full moons in a single season.

The carefully planned shot has been taken on August 20, 2013 from the city of Portoferraio, some 4.4 kilometers away from the castle.

This year we don't get to see blue Moon, but still the "normal" one is very beautiful. Taken from Alikes Pieria Greece.

The image was made with a Takahashi FS60C and a Canon 5D.

I found it very interesting and also annoying that I was the only one among thousands of people who was passing by, watching ISS passing above the center of Thessaloniki Greece at -4.4mag! A very difficult image, since the street and car lights are producing way too much light pollution (and not only!) which was very difficult to cope with even at such a bright pass of the ISS.

This picture, taken in Gozo, shows the full moon rising above a number of globe-lights, which I normally despise because they are a big source of light pollution. In this particular instance, I tried to incorporate them in my astrophotography.
