Comet Siding Spring C/2013 A1 On January 18th, 00:35ut. On the left image (larger scope) just prior to being blocked by the tree tops and passing a distant Galaxy PGC199659, Its tail is gradually getting longer now. Now within 9 months from its very close approach to Mars on October 19, 2014.

Comet C/2013 A1 Siding Spring on January 22nd, 00:44-01:41ut ( 27 min total exp.)(Animation at: http://www.jaicoa-observatory.com/C2012 ... t-Anim.gif). Under average conditions. A distant Galaxy PGC633424 is close by. Now within 9 months from its very close approach to Mars on October 19, 2014.

Comet C/2013 A1 Siding Spring on January 30th, 00:45 ( 20 min total exp ). Under average conditions and low on the southern horizon and light pollution near by city and saharra dust. A distant Galaxy PGC199572 is close by.

Comets C2012 X1 (LINEAR) and C2013 R1 (LOVEJOY) on February 6th, 2014
Copyright: Velimir Popov, Emil Ivanov @Irida Observatory On the morning of February 6th, 2014 the comets C2012 X1 (LINEAR) and C2013 R1 (LOVEJOY) were at about 2° apart from each other. This is quite a rare case of apparent approaching of two comets. This 2 panel mosaic displays them at 3:40 UT.

Comet C/2013 R1 Lovejoy (Jan.6,2014)

Description:
The comet C/2013 R1 Lovejoy on January 6, 2014. With a brightness around 6th magnitude exhibits a beautiful appearance as yet, showing a fluorescent and powerful coma, and the dust and gas tails nearly together due to our perspective. The gas tail is visible leaving the comet's head more narrow and bluish, shows a knot at 15' distance, and extends it at least until 1º long.

Comet Siding Spring - C/2013 A1. On February 8th, 00:16-48ut. Now being influenced by moon light and sunset very low in the horizon. Three Galaxies in its surroundings (marked). Now within 8 months from now from its very close approach to Mars on October 19, 2014.

Description:
The comet C/2013 R1 Lovejoy on February 2, 2014. Compared with last month image, its brightness has dropped until 7.5 magnitude. Moreover of the apparent coma size reduction until 4' diameter, in the image also has lost its gas tail meanwhile the dust tail is more faint and its long has been reduced until 20'.

Comet 2013 V5 Oukaimeden, Distant Galaxy PGC 97079 on February 20th, 02:45-03:30ut. could possibly reach a magnitude 5-6 in September 2014 (perihelion). Its located in the constellation Taurus and it is currently estimated at a magnitude of 16.46.
