Can that be use as a space propulsion engine. What will be the isp and the ejection speed of these jets? Just curious.

It would only be useful for propulsion if this represents an efficient way of generating a supersonic plasma flow. We already do that with ion drives, using simple electrodes, which seems likely to be more efficient than using lasers.

Thanks for your comment. And bystander link tell me that the speed of the jet is 70000m/s. Thats good. But can the direction of the jet be control, can the speed of the jet be increase, how much energy is needed to do it and what mass is ejected each time. Too much unknown. it was just a tought i had. If it's that good, i am sure someone will do the calculus and estimation of how good it will be as a space propulsion engine. So time will tell if it is better then ionic or plasma engine. will see or not Ty again.
