--- Breton paradise ---
Saint Hernot, also called the Virgin Island, is a beach in Brittany of Crozon's peninsula and ranked the 7th most beautiful beach in Europe. Difficult by its access, it is a pleasure to be alone on this pebble beach at night. Because I like nightscapes, I took this picture with the Milky Way diving into the bay of Douarnenez. Note that I was able to attend to a phenomenon (very light, but there) of bioluminescence (presence of plankton), a sign of quality of the environment that must be preserved. This phenomenon is characterized by a blue halo around the small rock on right center.

EDIT: Sorry but there seems to be some confusion in the literature and some planetarium software, as to the real colloquial name for NGC 6445?
Apparently due to an error in the Sky Atlas 2000 Vol.2, NGC 6445 is in fact more correctly referred to as "The Box Nebula" and not The Little Gem, which is the name given to NGC 6818...or so it would seem...? :?

Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter by H. Raab, on Flickr

On the evening of June 30, 2015, the planets Vernus and Jupiter formed a stunning pair in the colorful evening twilight. The apparent distance between the two planets was only 22 arc minutes, i.e., less than the apparent diameter of the moon. Venus is the brighter one of the two, shining about 10 times brighter than Jupiter.

This is the sadr region in Hydrogen Alpha.

It was taken with my 80mm William Optics ZenithStar EDII Apochromatic Refractor. I also used my QHY9s OSC CCD, with a Lumicon Ha 9nm filter. It was 6 subs at 360" each for a nice 36 minutes of total exposure from North Tonawanda NY (Red Zone) it was all on a CG5 mount
Capturing program was EZCAP and processed it in Nebulosity 3 and Photoshop CS5.
