It was worth getting up early to see Jupiter and Mars less than quarter of a degree apart. This photo was taken at 7 a.m. on January 7, 2018 from Duffus Castle in Moray, Scotland.

Here is a new image of Planetary Nebula PuWe1 (PNG 158.9 + 17.8), in Lynx , this is one of the highest resolution images of this object to date from an amateur. Is one of the largest PN, that has an apparent diameter of 20'. It has been discovered by Purgathofer & Weinberger in 1980 on a Palomar sky survey print. As almost all this kind of old diluted PN, it is very faint and requires long exposures to get details. The Halpha signal is the strongest and draws a ring with several details in the structure while the OIII signal is extremely faint with a disc shape and no visible structure.
I was looking for an outer halo that was thought to be possible in this object. From my observations I don't see any O3 data past the disk itself. In LRGB data it looks like the extended data is IFN flux nebula. Thanks Sakib Rasool for another fine target!

Telescope: Planewave 17" f6.7 on a Planewave HD Mount Camera: SBIG 16803
Location: Stellar Winds Observatory at DSNM, Animas, New Mexico
Exposure: L,R,G,B,HA,03 320,320,320,320,900,900 54 Hours of exposure.
