But rather than being boring, such a double transit could be very interesting if the duration of the Moon's passage behind or in front of the Earth is shorter than the solar passage. Which takes longer as viewed from Mars, an Earth-Moon occultion or the Earth transiting the Sun? Since the Earth is so much smaller than the Sun my guess is that the whole Earth-Moon event could be witnessed while the solar transit is in progress. That wouldn't be boring at all!
