Although NGC2841 has been imaged a few times, only a handful seem to really capture its beauty, especially in Kent Wood's capture of the very faint extended arms.

During this time of the year, seeing is extremely good in Julian, CA. But with no marine layer covering the lower cities, 21.2 SQM is the darkest I'm seeing. Nevertheless, 9+ hours of Luminance in a 24" does appear to capture a few photons from 46 MLY. (-:

Szekszárd (the city where I was born) is the center of Szekszárd-Tolna Wine Region is famous of the "Bull's Blood", a dry red wine. Thus no wonder the lookout tower above the city resembles grapevines. Pointing my all-sky camera directly upwards was a good idea standing there..

That's a great picture!

I love how the inner disk is finely threaded by an interlacing cobweb of dust, while the other arms are fuzzy and broad, lacking in structure or dust.

M51 this was a pleasure to image and to process another one of my favorites. Definitely, need to spend some more time on collecting more RGB data apart from that I'm pretty pleased with it.

M51 was the first galaxy to be classified as a spiral galaxy. Its distance is estimated to be 23 million light-years away from Earth and stretches a radius of 30,000 light-years. The galaxy and its companion, NGC 5195, are easily observed by amateur astronomers, and the two galaxies may be seen with binoculars. The Whirlpool Galaxy has been extensively observed by professional astronomers, who study it to understand galaxy structure (particularly structure associated with the spiral arms) and galaxy interactions.

Last night (after a couple failed attempts) I captured this image of the Orion constellation and many emission nebula setting over the city of Boston and the Charles River. It was taken with a wide angle lens (14mm), a mono camera, and H-alpha + Luminance filters.

A division by zero

The photos were taken on Budapest, Hungary standing on and near Margaret Bridge and looking to Southern direction. The wonderful foreground including the building of Hungarian Parliament, the Chain Bridge, the Castle of Buda and the riverbank of Danube has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

8: My fourth analemma was taken between 2018-09-24 and 2019-09-15 at local noon (11:44 CET). Unfortunately I had some data loss of my camera's memory card so two dots are missing from the topmost of the curve.

/: One-hour-long path of the rising crescent Moon above the Parliament captured in every 3 minutes.

0: The most breathtaking Lunar halo I've ever seen

=: Initially I planned a solargraph photo but gave up after some poor results of my experiments. This photo depicts the one-hour-long path of the Sun around noon using a Baader AstroSolar filter.

***: 20th August is a national holiday in Hungary. Its closing event is the one where a crowd of some hundred thousand people enjoying the famous firework of Budapest. Margaret Bridge was completely full and there was absolutely no remaining free place so I captured the event standing near the Bridge.
