On the night of June 27/28 there was a spectacular display of Noctilucent Clouds over the north of Scotland. At times it covered more than half the sky. There are still potentially six weeks of the NLC season left, so plenty of time for more amazing displays of these electric-blue 'space clouds'.

This 2 second exposure was captured at 23:44 UT on June 27 from a field near my house in Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

Sunset in Hydrogen Alpha Wavelength

This is my second successful attempt at taking a sunset image in the hydrogen alpha wavelength. This time the western sky was perfectly clear. The huge sunspot in AR2835 and a number of bright prominences along the upper limb are clearly visible.

I failed miserably with this target under my light polluted skies in Churchville, PA. I tried again at Cherry Springs which is a bortle 2 zone.

This is 9 hours of RGB, shot on my 294 Mono cam.

The Andromeda Galaxy - M31

This is one of my favorite DSO. It has inspired me all the way since I started into astrophotography. The jaw dropping andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away from us, and shows a beautiful spiral shape that has 200,000 light years in diameter!
This is a very low target from my location in Perú (-12° latitud). I had to wait a whole year to get it. 

It only took me 38 minutes, thanks to the fast RASA 8 optics.

All shots were done in one night, near Santiago de Tuna town, up in the mountains, 3 hours away from Lima city in Perú.
Skies there are bortle 3, very beautiful and clear! It is located 3000 meters over sea level!
