Meteors

Post by LasVegasSky - NEW » Fri Aug 13, 2004 3:22 am

Hello from a Newbie & a StarGazing NOVICE!

I just came home to Las Vegas from an out-of-town visit to watch the meteors in Pine Valley, Utah... Very Dark Sky!

We were there for the past two nights: very cloudy on the 1st night, partly cloudy most of last night.

We saw 6 meteors in 30 seconds, so I figure that works out to a 720 / hour peak

Now home in Las Vegas tonight & can't see a thing! Too Bright!!
THEN: I discovered this site... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

Glad you found us!

You've no doubt noticed our Perseid thread in the "Notable NSL Images" section.

If you spot a meteor we haven't spotted, please post it!
