Today's APoD

Post by Indigo_Sunrise » Tue Jul 19, 2005 11:08 am

I read the description for today's Astronomy Pic of the Day, and shouldn't the location of the supernova be almost directly below the center of the galaxy? The location listed has it being on "the right", but I see only a slight difference in a 'bright spot' on the right. Could there be two supernovae (sp)? Or has the pic been rotated, maybe?
Any thoughts?

Nevermind - I see there is another thread discussing this. I'll follow along in that discussion....
